Bio

Katiana Michel’s story begins in her family’s Haitian kitchen, surrounded by fresh herbs, sizzling pork and her grandmother’s belief that “the secret ingredient is always love.” As the family’s designated taste-tester, she learned early that food wasn’t just sustenance — it was medicine for the soul, a reason to gather, and a way to hold people close.

That passion carried her from a bustling home kitchen to the classrooms of Le Cordon Bleu, where home-style comfort met the precise, exhilarating world of haute cuisine. There she mastered technique — knife work, plating, fusion — alongside the art of hospitality, learning how to turn a meal into an experience.

She went on to sharpen her craft in Atlanta’s upscale establishments, including McCormick & Schmick’s and the Piedmont Driving Club, learning from executive chefs who pushed her to innovate while staying true to her roots. Along the way she navigated — and rose above — the sting of being underestimated, both as an immigrant’s daughter and as a woman in high-end kitchens.

Today Katiana blends the bold tastes of Haiti with the elegance of contemporary cuisine, crafting luxury Caribbean menus that appeal to every sense. Rooted in French technique and Haitian soul, her cooking makes her a natural fit for anyone seeking Caribbean catering in Atlanta with a genuine private-chef’s touch — whether for a family reunion or a celebrity table.

What she loves most is the moment a guest takes the first bite — the lit-up face, the connection, the sense of being celebrated and at home. For Katiana the kitchen is a sacred space where laughter, love and tradition collide, and every plate is an invitation to gather, celebrate and savor life’s richness together.

Working as a private chef in Atlanta, Katiana brings her signature blend of joy, storytelling and Caribbean warmth to intimate dinners and large celebrations alike. As Julia Child said, “people who love to eat are always the best people” — and Katiana would add that those who love to share food are the happiest of all.
